Overview

Blood cancer, also known as Haematological Cancer is a complex group of diseases characterized by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal blood cells, which can then spread to other parts of the body and disrupt normal bodily functions. It affects the blood, bone marrow and lymphatic system. The symptoms vary depending on the type and stage of the disease, which includes fatigue, fever, weight loss, night sweats, and anaemia, pain or swelling in the lymph nodes, spleen, or liver may also occur.

Sarvodaya Cancer Institute houses advanced modalities for diagnosis of blood cancer medical tests, including a complete blood count, biopsy, and imaging tests such as X-Rays, MRI and PET scans. We offer tailored treatment depending on the type and stage of the disease. Some of the advanced treatments provided at the centre include bone marrow transplants, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and more. In some cases, a multidisciplinary approach with a combination of these treatments may also be used.
