In the run-up to World No Tobacco Day, Sarvodaya Hospital, Sec 8, Faridabad, in collaboration with the District Bar Association, hosted a unique awareness event, blending law, medicine, and street theatre to deliver a hard-hitting message on the dangers of tobacco consumption at District Court, Sector 12, Faridabad.
With Chief Judicial Magistrate Ms. Ritu Yadav as the Chief Guest and support from key legal dignitaries, the session featured a powerful courtroom-style street play where tobacco was put on trial, and vital organs like the lungs, heart, mouth, and liver testified against its deadly impact.
Dr. Naveen Sanchety, Director – Surgical Oncology, at Sarvodaya delivered a compelling health talk on the adverse effects of tobacco, underlining how it creates not only personal health issues but also genetic and generational consequences.
The event struck a chord with the audience, urging many to reconsider their choices and pledge to quit tobacco.
