Overview

Twisted, bulging, darkened veins that may be painfulpainfull or itchy are called varicose veins. They can develop in any superficial (near the skin's surface) vein. Leg veins are the most frequently affected by varicose veins. This is due to the fact that standing and walking put more strain on the lower body's veins.

Spider veins, a common, minor variety of varicose veins on the other hand, are often only an aesthetic concern for many people. Varicose veins can occasionally result in more severe issues.

Self-care techniques or professional medical procedures to seal or eliminate veins may be used in treatment.

Treatment may be required to remove the damaged veins, treat side effects, or cure the root cause that is producing the varicose veins. Your treatment options depend on how big your varicose veins are.

Generally, radiofrequency, laser, or ligation and stripping are used to treat larger varicose veins & Sclerotherapy or Laser therapy is used to treat smaller varicose and spider veins. A mix of therapies may be advised to be effective in some cases.
