BLOOD DONATION CAMP @ SARVODAYA HOSPITAL &RESEARCH CENTRE
ON 18TH JULY 2010
Become a Life Saver- Donate Blood It only takes a few minutes to save another person’ life
Sarvodaya has successfully organized the blood donation camp. Yesterday we arranged a campaign inside the hospital in association with Rotary Club Faridabad (Central) and B.K Hospital. Donating blood is our social duty. Every year many people die during surgery only because of not getting enough supply of blood in time. By donating blood we indirectly save many lives. This is a holy activity which is above all casts and Religions.
With increase in population and development of more advanced medical and surgical procedures, the need for blood is ever increasing. There is no substitute for blood. Only blood donors can help maintain an adequate supply of blood to save the lives of those who need it. When you donate blood, you give a second chance at life to someone unknown to you. One does not know who will need blood transfusion tomorrow, it could be you or your friend or dear one.
The event was a step to hoe every person with a feel of responsiveness for the society.
During the camp the staff from Sarvodaya Hospital, Haryana Medical Representative Association (H.M.R.A) and Rotarians came forward in large number to donate blood for the noble cause. The doctors and the staff of the blood bank extended their fullest cooperation to make the camp a success. The combined efforts of all concerned resulted in the collection of 75 units of blood during the camp.
Dr Rakesh Gupta and Mrs.Anshu Gupta graced the occasion by donating blood. Many other doctors from the hospital and members of the rotary club were present at the occasion.
This noble cause received overwhelming response from all the members present at the camp
This encouraged every single people to pledge on them ‘to make a better world for you and for me and the entire human race…’
BE A BLOOD DONOR-ALL IT COSTS IS A LITTLE LOVE!!!
